TX HOP CLUB was born on the back of a bus. We took a luxury bus ride from Dallas to Austin for a family golf trip and, during the ride home, began a deep discussion about working vs passionately living.

“Someone in a job is focusing on looking busy. Someone in a career is focusing on creating impact.”

This evolved into a “what if” idea about starting a business that would, a) give us something fun to do; b) create an impact on our community and c) give future generations something to learn from and grow.

Since we are huge Pickleball enthusiasts who live, breathe and promote the sport every day; and since we believe success follows passion, we decided to build our new venture on Pickleball…literally.

As we started scribbling ideas and pictures on napkins and scraps of paper, it began to take shape. We batted around several ideas for a business name and finally decided on TX House Of Pickleball Club, because we liked the acronym, but also because we wanted to build a facility where everyone could have the “club” experience and feel at home and special. VIP Pickleball for everyone!

After living with our idea for a few weeks, it began to feel more like a calling. So the three of us (two sisters and one daughter) committed fully to the project and spent the next several months traveling all over the country playing, listening and talking to other players and owners of courts and facilities. Our research only deepened our love of the game and the people who play it. And our idea of a dedicated, premier Pickleball facility came into focus.

With Staci fully immersed in the Granbury Pickleball community and an obvious need for courts there, this beautiful, historic town felt like the perfect setting for our new venture. We set out to build a crown jewel for Hood County and make Granbury a Pickleball Destination!

Land was bought. A dream team was formed. With every step we took toward the vision becoming a reality, we found the people and support we needed. We are so proud of and thankful for everyone involved in this project.
